The Task Force has always been highly professional and answered any questions I had. I have been a member since 2007.
We all took this job knowing an assault could happen, but we never realize it could happen to us.
Within 2 weeks of my assault I received a check. I more than recommend becoming a member of the California Staff Assault Task Force as another way of making inmates accountable for their actions.

In 2007 I was assaulted and found out about an organization that has come to Washington to support staff. They were very supportive and helpful for me.
I was assaulted by a level 4 inmate and won a judgement against him. I cannot say thank you enough for the amount of work and dedication that comes with the job you guys do.
I have been a member since 2005 with the Task Force, I joined at the academy. If you don’t sign up for yourself, then do it for your family.

The CSATF provides you and your family with some financial assistance for the first five months you are off work.
